Non-Communicable Diseases
The division is mandated to work for the program related to non-communicable diseases (NCDs). However, the main thrust is on National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS). Headed by a director level officer, all correspondence with the states is maintained by this division. It also provides necessary guidance for capacity building and technical support to States/UTs in the country.
